*things have been so confusing for the past few weeks that he's settled for just grabbing himself a mug of steaming hot coffee and flopping at the kitchen table, warming his hands on his drink while he waits for it to cool and losing himself in the thought that inevitably accompanies finding oneself with not one, not two, but three new parental figures, one of whom is angelic, one of whom is Hadesian, and one of whom is very much dead*

*he really is something very much approaching the happiest man on earth lately -- and now that things are, essentially, worked out, he's even feeling sociable, so he's -- not in the main room, but the kitchen, dressed in black jeans and white T-shirt, leaning against the counter and twirling a lavender rose absently in one hand*
